Volunteer! Every Sunday volunteers respond to the nearly 200 letters we receive each month by reading letters from prisoners, creating packets of reading materials from our inventory of donated books, and preparing packages for mailing. We meet at our work site at the North Hadley Congregational Church, 243 River Drive (Route 47 between Route 9 and Sunderland near the Sugar Shack) in Hadley, Massachusetts (click here for a map and directions). Volunteers are welcome to join us on a drop-in basis any Sunday between 1pm and 4pm. With advance notice and planning, we can also accommodate groups of up to 15 people, including teenagers, for one-time volunteer experiences.
