Goodnight Raindrop
Carlos "Boxer" Perez - Iowa Park, TX

Air is rushing in through my window
Caressing with such motherly love
Whispering I might be lonely but never alone

The midnight breeze is always soothing
It keeps me cuddled up and makes me giggle
Oh how lucky I am for having a window

The night is quiet yet very playful
Another rush of cool wind starts to hit
This time gently messing with my hair

I love staring out into the night
I feel so close to the sky and to the stars
It's almost like flying, floating on the clouds

The sky grows dark and I smell rain
Excited I place my face against the window
As a goodnight raindrop lands softly on my forehead.
